“We asked ourselves if we could make a contribution to return to a kind of society that works better. So we decided to go back to natural wine, to a forgotten crop of our land, to limited but different things”

Santo, Gianni, Alessio, Gianluca.

Santo Boggian

“Man is like game, he can emigrate but his place of origin will always be written in his DNA.”

It’d be easy to say that he’s the oldest of the protagonists of this story, but that wouldn’t be the truth: the registry office is often a lying social convention. If life is measured with enthusiasm, passion and trust, then Santo is a twenty year old still looking for something that goes beyond the usual conventions and everything that appears predestined. And this since his childhood.
«I’ve always been interested in creating things, living experiences that could enrich me, even simple ones that could simply improve life. My philosophy of life has always been to take note of reality and adjust to it. I see money as a means of supporting ethical philosophies of life that are otherwise destined to die».
From these considerations, La Rabiosa starts to take shape: «So the idea of getting together was born, with an alternative business management, rediscovering something new that kept its roots in the past». This is how La Rabiosa takes on its complete form, a company where vines, agriculture and complete respect for the environment, move all together in harmony. «My nature moves me to keep my territory afloat and rebuild a better land over time”.

Gianluca Morello

“I want to fully join the world of agriculture. Not because my work has not given me any satisfactions, but because I want to focus more on things that I love down to the core.”

The “predestined carpenter” of the group. «Right from an early age, like all the carpenters’ children in the area, I was hired in a carpentry shop to make furniture and since that day he has never left the sector». But life is never as it seems.
«This world, however, has never belonged to me or rather, it has never made me complete».
And with La Rabiosa, finally, Gianluca is reunited what he is with what he wants to do.
«Today I have chosen to take this new path to fully enter the world of agriculture. But not because my work hasn’t given me financial satisfactions or achieve important results, but because I want to focus more on things I love to the core.».
Gianluca from his work has also learned another important lesson: team working. In fact, “fighting together” represents Gianluca’s mantra that prompted him to enter body and soul into the La Rabiosa project.
«A project alive since a very long time. The country has always been in our DNA, my dad was a very good friend of Santo in ’36 and for this reason I fully understand his philosophy and was ready to embrace it».
«For this reason, I invested my first few earnings in agricultural land, because for me the country it’s the founding value of life, the origins from which to start and return. Even when they challenged me and asked me why I didn’t invest in luxury goods, I never had any doubts.
Today with so much humility, I made myself available in the La Rabiosa project. I am convinced that ours is a great team with an important project both for us and for our land. I am ready to carry on this initiative as a good assistant”.

Alessio Frison

“We do things, because we believe in them.”

A degree in economics from the University of Bologna and ten years of work in an accounting firm dealing with reporting for a training institution.
«It wasn’t the job for me even though I put the maximum effort into it, as in all the things I do.
But while I was working at the studio I’d get home in the evenings and on weekends to take care of the family farm which was getting bigger and bigger.
Commitment to work is written in my DNA. I come from a farming family. We are four brothers and I have always had to work in order to support my studies.
The family company has a cereal-zootechnical address (beef cattle) but the vineyard has always been present.»
Producing grapes has always been present in Alessio’s life.
«Until now, however, our production was linked to packaging in wineries that have guaranteed us economic sustainability over the years. But I have always felt the call to complete the production chain ourselves and for this reason I have not struggled to marry the La Rabiosa project.»
Also, for Alessio La Rabiosa project doesn’t have “only” an economic nature.
«The protection of our land has always been a fundamental objective for me, vital I would say. A goal that has become even more important after the birth of my three daughters to whom I’d like to leave a better territory than the one we are living in today.»
«It’s ambitious, we realize that. We dream that in our small way we can make a contribution to keep young people from fleeding our territory. If no one does anything, the risk is that in twenty years there will be no one left in these lands. This is another reason that made us take the field, or rather in the vineyard.

Gianni Boggian

“From simplicity we can extract things of greater personality.”

Gianni has two children and has always had a passion for wine making..
«I have always worked in sectors totally different from the wine sector, the passion and the desire however to produce wine, have always been there.»
The cultivation of the vine has always accompanied Gianni’s life.
«There has always been a vineyard within my family, it was behind our childhood house and has generally always been part of the landscape of my life.»
During his youth, Gianni found himself “forced” to make classic choices, dictated by his family and needs – «but as I entered my mature phase, the passion prevailed, fortunately.»
«La Rabiosa project brings me back to simple things, those done without forcing, because they are the ones that bring me back to my origins, when I started them and how easy it is to do them. From simplicity we can extract things of greater personality.»
For Gianni too, the vineyard and wine have always represented a dream to be realized.
«A dream that has become more and more real and that over time has acquired more and more values, including ethical ones.
But La Rabiosa for me today also represents a bet with which I wanted to put myself on the line for myself and my land.

Our greatest goal is to give new life to our territory,
which has seen us born and put down roots.
